Waimea Bay and Valley
Yesterday was our first full day here in Hawaii. I took Courtney out to Waimea Bay on the north shore which is the beach my family and I usually go to. We also went to the valley behind it for the first time. I can't believe I had never been there before. Besides the mosquito bites and the peacock that stole my food (I'll get to that later) I loved it!
The rest of these were all taken from the Valley. There are tables there to eat and we all got lunch and sat down. We saw some signs that said "do not feed the birds" and we just thought they meant small birds. Wrong. They meant the peacocks! A few minutes after we got our food, a couple of peacocks came up. I got up and took some photos and then sat back down. After about five more minutes, one started walking towards me. I've always thought these birds were gorgeous, but this one had a mean look in it's eyes. It kept getting closer and closer, forcing me to move over on the bench I was sitting on. It started making some noise, and I truly thought it was going to peck me. Once I had moved over far enough, it jumped up on the bench and grabbed the bun off of my burger! It was traumatizing but made for some good pictures. By the way, peacocks do have large talons!

Sarah and Cody
Last weekend my roommate's brother, Cody, and his wife, Sarah, were in town. They asked me to take some photos of them because they never had any engagement photos and their one year wedding anniversary was coming up. I was really excited to do it because it had been a while since I had taken portraits! They were a lot of fun and they are a cute couple, they are always laughing. Here are some of my favorites. Happy Anniversary to the couple!
