Snow Day!

Last night I received a call from UNT and this text message...

Looked out the window and saw this...

Of course I had some fun taking photos, but it was so windy that I couldn't stay outside for very long.  I literally almost blew away at one point, and that's when I knew it was time to go back inside.  I wanted to start out front and I didn't even make it out the door before I got all nerdy and got some photos of the ice on the screen door.  These are macros and if I do say so myself, they are pretty sweet!

Once I got outside, I realized this wasn't the kind of snow you want to play in.. it's the kind you want to run from!  The wind was insane!

I set my tripod down for less than a minute, and when I picked it up it was covered in ice!

Went in for a break and had some hot chocolate..

And took a little nap with Moto.  He didn't want to have anything to do with the snow.

Then I went back out again to get some photos of what the wind had done to the snow on the ground.  Pretty neat stuff!

The perfect way to end the day...
